Position Description

The Life Journey Follow Up Facilitator contacts neighbours in order to continue the ongoing relationships that began with First Step and Life Budget appointments. The objective is to journey with people, build relationship, help them engage with Centre Street Church and its offerings, and hopefully help them enter into and grow in relationship with Jesus.

Responsibilities

• Call and touch base or meet in person with neighbours who have completed Life Budget appointments

• Determine if their financial situation has improved.

• Provide encouragement and support

• Provide resources and information as needed to the people we meet

• Keep track of statistics

• Be ready to share your faith story when the opportunity presents itself

Time Commitment

Initial contact for follow up is by phone call. Any in person are scheduled at mutually agreeable times. These meetings may occur during The Well Café times but can also occur in a variety of settings.

Qualifications

• Understanding of, and agreement with, the CSC Statement of Faith, Mission and Pursuits (cf https://www.cschurch.ca/central/about/who-we-are/)

• Familiarity with Compassion & Care mission, vision and process

• Ability to set healthy boundaries
